Any advice from the group for mainsail track cars not sliding very smooth? I can raise and lower the sail, but it usually takes more persuasion in both directions then I would think is normal.
When raising the sail, the last two or three feet seem to gradually offer more resistance. I was hoping for a more clear sign that I’ve reached the top. Is that abnormal? I’m raising the sail with no load, straight into wind.
I’m shopping to replace every hose clamp on the boat. I’ve done some research, but I would love to know if anyone in this group has opinions to share as to any particular brands or suppliers.
Thanks!!

THE TRACK NEEDS TO BE cleaned. This is how did when I had a sail on a track. I remove the first slide from sail. attached a gauzed pad to it attached the halyard and a line to pull it back down. Sprayed WD-40 to clean by hoisting up and down a few times then spray a silicone on new gauze pad and slide that up and down a few times. I was amazed how much dirt was in that track.
