Mainsail track cars not sliding very smooth

2015 Oceanis 41.
Any advice from the group for mainsail track cars not sliding very smooth? I can raise and lower the sail, but it usually takes more persuasion in both directions then I would think is normal.
When raising the sail, the last two or three feet seem to gradually offer more resistance. I was hoping for a more clear sign that I’ve reached the top. Is that abnormal? I’m raising the sail with no load, straight into wind.
I’m shopping to replace every hose clamp on the boat. I’ve done some research, but I would love to know if anyone in this group has opinions to share as to any particular brands or suppliers.
Thanks!!
