Thoughts on the Force10 kerosene heater? The heater is currently removed from the boat; thinking we’ll sell it, but having second thoughts. We’ve been told they don’t heat a cabin and the kerosene stinks.
Our c34 is staying in the water over winter, boat is in marina on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, and we are connected to shore power. Thanks in advance.

Diesel heaters are better. I have a Chinese diesel heater. This is the second year I am using it. From 30°, I can raise the temp to 65° in about 10 minutes and ot will maintain that temp or warmer if you want. I use about 5 gal of diesel a week. Heater is connected to my fuel tank, so I have 15 gal. I can go about 3 weeks before I have to refill. And there is no smell. Heater exhausts at the stern of the boat through a through hull fitting in the transom. Much better that kerosene and much less explosive if there is a leak at anytime.
