Beneteau Oceanis 411 for sale. This is a perfect boat for couples or a family ready to start an adventure. It is spacious enough for two people, with plenty of equipment and room for guests or family can live here just fine! There are three cabins with a double bed, of which the front one is large, airy, and has a large attached lavatory.
The boat is very secure, even on heavy seas. With a weight of almost 10 tonnes, it takes a bit to move it significantly. It is not a racing boat, but on our ocean voyage, we have several times had an average speed of 6-6.5 knots over a 24-hour period. With the wind from the side, the boat manages a fine 6.5 to 7.5 knots with a comfortable heel and up to 8 to 8.5 if you want to sail harder. With the engine, the boat makes approx. 5.3-5.6 knots at 2 liters per hour and approx. 6-6.5 at approx. 3 liters per hour. The maximum speed with the engine is approx. 8-8.3 knots. The diesel tank of 150 liters gives a range with the motor alone of approx. 360 Nm.
The mainsail is well-maintained, and the foresail is absolutely fine, except that the canvas is quite tired. It has several smaller holes and tears that we have taped over. The sail is fully usable but should probably be updated one of the following seasons. Optionally, you can sew on new UV cloth. We had a sailmaker take a look at the sail in March, and he said the sail would probably last longer with the new UV fabric.
The boat is handled well single-handedly since everything leads to the cockpit. We have sailed a lot alone (with one of us sleeping below deck), and it works just fine with the autopilot. Everything you need is to steer the sails and boat in the cockpit. The boat has a large 12 inch chart plotter (new price 50k) which, together with AIS and rows connected, gives a good picture of the traffic around, even with poor visibility.
We had the diesel tank professionally washed at the end of August 2022. Then two large inspection hatches were also installed in the tank. The rig was checked in March 2022
The batteries last for running a refrigerator and other loads for about 2 days without charging, and the solar panels charge enough to keep the batteries charged as long as the sun is shining.
The boat is currently in the south of Sardinia but is sailing towards San Remo in the coming weeks. It can also be sailed to other areas in reasonable proximity by agreement.
Norwegian VAT has been paid, and the boat is registered in the Norwegian ship register and can be mortgaged if necessary.
Known errors/missings:
- Leaks around some windows and longitudinal exterior teak molding – these will try to improve in the next few weeks
- Small diesel leakage – about 0.5 dl per 24 hours of engine operation
- The windows are quite cracked, and the plexiglass should probably be replaced
- Various blemishes all around – as expected from a 24-year-old boat
- Teak in the cockpit is tired
- The covering material on the bathing platform is tired and will be replaced in the coming weeks
