Deck
- The deck is made of FlexiTeak (approx. 12 years old), it has a great look, is easy to maintain and feels very comfortable.
- All deck edges were re-grouted in 2022.
- At the stern, there are two hatches to a large forecastle with space for a drift anchor, high-pressure cleaner, oil and engine accessories, Cobb grill, and diesel canister (for ocean crossings)
Steering
- The boat has a center cockpit boat and therefore very safe. Even in the strong swell and heavy weather, you stay dry behind the wheel and can control all lines and halyards and thus all three sails (main, genoa, jib) from the cockpit. The autopilot and hydrovane are used to steer the boat for long crossings.
Sail plan
- Battened mainsail – new Hydranet sail – 3 reefs all operated from the cockpit
- Furling – Genoa – 120% – + An old spare genoa (good for butterfly sailing) with two “spinnaker” booms to boom out on each side
- Furling jib – 90% – for heavy weather with its own forestay
