Westerly Oceanmaster 48 (1991) is a robust, ocean-ready cruiser with a length of 14.60 meters, a beam of 4.60 meters, and a draught of 2.10 meters. The yacht features three spacious cabins and can comfortably accommodate six people across its six berths. It also includes two well-equipped bathrooms. Powered by a Perkins Prima M80T engine, delivering 85 HP, the boat is suited for long voyages with steady propulsion. In addition to its main engine, it has an extensive energy setup, including two solar panels, a wind generator, a shaft generator, and a mobile diesel generator. This combination ensures a reliable power supply during sailing, with added heating provided by a Vebasto diesel heater to keep all cabins warm, perfect for colder northern passages.

The deck of the Oceanmaster 48 is covered with FlexiTeak, providing both aesthetics and comfort. The teak was re-grouted in 2022, enhancing its durability and appearance. The stern features two large hatches that open to a forecastle, offering ample storage space for a variety of ocean-crossing necessities like a drift anchor, high-pressure cleaner, and extra diesel. The rig, completely renewed in 2020, is stable and reliable, featuring a new Hydranet mainsail, furling genoa, and furling jib for various wind conditions. The boat’s center cockpit ensures safety and protection in rough weather, with lines and halyards accessible from the cockpit, allowing easy sail handling. The inclusion of an autopilot and hydrovane makes it ideal for long crossings, ensuring efficient and automated steering.

The yacht has undergone significant renovations over the last four years, with over €50k invested to keep it in top condition. These include a new rig and mainsail, solar panels, alternator, sprayhood, bimini, and extensive electrical and navigational system upgrades, including modern Raymarine equipment for radar, VHF, and autopilot. Onboard electrics have also been updated with a Victron Centaur battery system and various other components to ensure seamless power distribution. With its solid construction, upgraded systems, and attention to detail, the Westerly Oceanmaster 48 is well-suited for adventurous sailors seeking both comfort and performance for extended ocean crossings.
