GEBA 39 is an exceptional steel sailing yacht, fully equipped and ready to set off on her next adventure. Built to a Van de Stadt design with a strong multi-chine hull constructed in 1987 at Ballhausen shipyard in northern Germany, she was launched in 1994 after seven years of meticulous owner-built interior work in Switzerland.
Now in her third ownership, GEBA 39 has crossed the Atlantic twice and cruised extensively throughout the Mediterranean, from Spain and France to Italy, Turkey and Greece. Since 2010, she has mainly sailed Greek waters, spending winters ashore where successive owners have continuously maintained and upgraded her.
Major equipment upgrades in 2022-2023 include a watermaker, lithium batteries, radar and solar panels. She also features a wind generator, diesel heating in the salon, freezer, dive compressor with diving equipment, dinghy with wooden floor, davits and a permanently installed Magma BBQ.
Her 65 hp Mercedes-Benz OM616 diesel engine is a particular highlight, professionally maintained by a previous owner who was a Mercedes mechanic, and is well suited to moving the yacht’s approximately 16-ton displacement even in demanding sea conditions.
Designed for comfortable and safe long-distance cruising, GEBA 39 offers a spacious centre cockpit protected by a hard dodger and large convertible bimini, with an outdoor table for around eight people that can also be transformed into an open-air bed.
The interior features a high-quality mahogany finish, a spacious open salon for 8-10 people, an L-shaped galley with refrigerator, new three-burner gas cooker and oven, two comfortable sleeping cabins, two bathrooms, and extensive storage throughout.
The aft master cabin includes seating, a folding table, integrated washbasin and generous storage, while the forward cabin offers a double berth and additional folding bunk.
Navigation equipment includes VHF, radar, GPS, Navtex, SSB radio and battery monitoring.
The standing rigging was professionally inspected in Greece in 2023 and found to be without defects, with generously oversized stays and shrouds.
The 50 kg CQR anchor with 10 mm chain provides substantial anchoring security, while the mainsail, two genoas, staysail and blister are all in good condition and received UV protection work in 2023.
GEBA 39 is offered as a genuine turnkey cruising yacht, exceptionally well equipped with extensive tools, spare parts, lines and additional equipment. She is ready for immediate cruising and is particularly suited to sailors looking for a robust, proven and comfortable yacht without unfinished projects or major work waiting to be done.
