The 1987 X-Yachts X-99 offered here is in overall good condition and equipped with standard specifications characteristic of this iconic performance cruiser-racer.
It comes with a solid and well-maintained sail inventory, including a carbon and Mylar (macron) mainsail, a Kevlar/Mylar jib, and three spinnakers, all in similar and serviceable condition, with the spinnakers noted as particularly good. The mainsail remains in good condition, and the primary sail wardrobe is estimated to be around ten years old. This X-99 provides the balanced sailing performance the model is known for, making it suitable for both club racing and spirited cruising.
The vessel is powered by a Yanmar 27 hp 3GM30 engine with approximately 5,000 hours of use. The rod rigging was replaced around eight years ago, adding reassurance for safety and reliability under sail.
Overall, the boat presents as a well-kept example of the X-99, clean, functional, and ready to sail, with essential mechanical and rigging updates already addressed.
