CARNIVAL IN SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE AND THE ISLANDS OF TENERIFE AND LA GOMERA ON A SAILING BOAT. 10 DAYS
The carnival in the city of Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands) is considered the second most popular festival in the world after the carnival in Rio de Janeiro. About a million people visit it every year.
The main events of this carnival, the Carnival Parade (Gran Coso Apoteosis) and the burning of an effigy of Sardines in the central square of the city (Entierro de la Sardin), take place this year on February 13 and 14. At night, the celebration does not subside – music plays everywhere, wine is poured, and dancing continues until the morning.
I invite you to my yacht in Tenerife from February 12 to February 22, 2024.
We will stop at the marina of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, spend two unforgettable days and two crazy nights at this carnival, and then raise the sails and go to the south of Tenerife to relax.
There, we will stop in cozy bays, swim in the ocean opposite black sandy beaches, see pilot whales, and anchor at the Los Gigantes cliffs opposite the Masca gorge.
Then we will set sail again and go to the island of La Gomera to climb by car along the serpentine road to its top, see the relict laurel forests, the crater of the volcano, look at the grandiose Teide, and hit the road again.
We will anchor in a delightful bay in the Valle Gran Rey, have dinner at the port’s fish restaurant, and there will be many other adventures and unforgettable experiences.
