Ahoy sailors!
I’m looking for a crew couple (or a coule of people who don’t mind sharing a cabin with one double bed) to join myself and one other to cross the Atlantic and possibly beyond.
My plan is to sail the yacht back to New Zealand for November 2023.
We’re currently in Sardinia and the position is available immediately.
Our next stops will be Mallorca, Ibiza or the coast of Spain, Gibraltar and then onto the Canaries early to mid October.
The yacht, Lady J, is a 2008 Jeanneau 45ds.
I have spent the last few months setting her up to be ocean ready. The prospective crew would have the forward double cabin, with private ensuite.
The current crew, myself 44yo kiwi (New Zealander) and a 24yo South African male.
We’re both easy going, and social, who enjoy discovering new people and places. We surf, free dive, fish (not very successfully) and love sailing.
Looking for people with sailing experience, self motivated, with interest and ability in cooking and provisioning. Personal sailing clothing including wet weather gear a must.
Living and running costs (food, diesel, rare marina fees, on anchor mostly) will be split 4 ways for the duration of the journey, so financial means to cover this is also a requirement.
Please PM me with a description of yourself and availability.
