What is going on here? Close hauled in 15 knot wind with a bit of an S shape in the main. I couldn’t get any more tension on the halyard. I played with the outhaul and vang, easing seems to make it worse. Later on a starboard tack, the main looked good.

Same things happens to with my main. My theory is that under load the mast bends slightly. Masking the distance between the top and bottom of the mast slightly shorter with the sail staying same length and tensions crates the loose luff.
