Just got my boat and trying figure out the tack line for the spinnaker. The tack line’s bitter end starts in cockpit, then a frictionless ring at the tip on the sprit, then through a (temporary) loop on the pulpit, then back to luggage tag to sprit where the frictionless ring is attached. This gives me 2 to 1. My question is how am I to attach the tack of the asymmetric to the tack line. Should I have a soft shackle? Is the blue line strong enough to be the attachment? Thanks for the newbie advice.
How am I to attach the tack of the asymmetric to the tack line?
