Any tricks to freeing up stuck seacocks? Our older sailboat spent a couple of years on the hard before we bought her last year. The seacocks were sticky but functioned and I believe she was well-maintained before. She was in the water for about 3 months and then back to dry dock for 6. Now they are all problematic. We are planning on spraying them with penetrating spray and using more leverage when I get back there next week. Other recommendations?
Some of the valves also have some small amount of green corrosion on the outside but do not appear to be damaged. How serious is that?
Thanks in advance!

Ball valve? Or gate valve? the latter write it off ball valve maybe a mixture oil and diesel left for a while.
If you do end up replacing them, it is worth the extra cost to put in the superior Groco brand. These have a grease point on them, so you can service them in the water any time. And of course I do not mean to insult you or anyone, but make sure yours are not already Groco. I have worked on more than one boat where the owner did not know the boat did have Groco, and did not know about the grease point.
